Volunteers are being sought to help clear fallen fencing at Port Na Ling beach in Fanad after it was destroyed by high winds from Storm Boelo.

The local Fanad Coastal Group issued an urgent appeal, asking members of the public to assist with the clean‑up before the high tide arrives later in the day.

“With high tides and waves forecast for later we need as many hands as possible to move the fallen fencing out of danger,” the group said, adding that volunteers should meet at 2 pm and dress warmly for the still‑wild conditions.

The appeal highlights the community’s response to the damage caused overnight by the storm, which battered Donegal’s coastline.
