Status Yellow storm warning issued for Limerick and surrounding counties

Limerick and several neighbouring counties are under a Status Yellow storm warning from 1 pm to 9 pm on Tuesday, 29 September.

Met Éireann warned that very strong, gusty southeasterly winds could cause wave overtopping and coastal flooding, especially where spring tides and storm surge combine with the on‑shore breezes.

Travel may become difficult, with the risk of fallen trees, broken branches and displaced debris on roads. The warning also covers Clare, Cork, Kerry and Waterford.

Residents are advised to batten down the hatches, secure loose objects and exercise caution when travelling.
