White House bars CNN from Air Force One trip to Tennessee

The White House has excluded CNN from travelling on Air Force One for Saturday’s trip to Tennessee, the network said on Friday.

CNN had been scheduled to accompany President Donald Trump on the flight to attend a college football game, but the administration did not list the broadcaster in the guidance it sent to the press corps outlining the President’s itinerary.

The White House confirmed the omission, confirming that CNN would not be part of the TV press pool for the journey. This move follows a series of recent tensions between the administration and news outlets.
