Bruff and Newcastle West set for senior camogie final in Limerick

Limerick’s senior camogie championship final will be contested by first‑time finalists Bruff and four‑in‑a‑row seeking Newcastle West on Saturday at 3.30 pm in Paddy Carroll Park, Ballyagran, with Morgan O’Sullivan appointed referee.

Bruff earned their place by edging Monaleen 2‑12 to 1‑11 in a home semi‑final, with goals from captain Mary O’Callaghan and Lorraine McCarthy under manager Paul Neenan.

Newcastle West, the reigning champions aiming for a third successive title, defeated Adare 3‑17 to 1‑8 in the other semi‑final, with nine different players contributing to the scoreline; their skipper is Karen O’Leary.

The Shield Final will precede the main event at 12.45 pm, featuring Patrickswell versus Killeedy. In addition, Ahane and Croagh/Kilfinny will meet in the Senior Relegation final in Banogue, while the Ladies Senior Football Championship semi‑finals saw St Ailbe’s beat Monagea 1‑10 to 1‑9 and Ballylanders overcome Mungret St Paul’s 3‑5 to 1‑8.
