US President’s frequent swearing sparks public debate

President Donald Trump has increasingly used profanity in public statements, prompting discussion about acceptable language for a head of state.

Commentators note that such overt swearing marks a departure from the norms observed by previous American leaders, with the last 45 presidents reportedly avoiding vulgar language in official discourse.

Cheryl Johnson, a retired social worker from the Pittsburgh area, expressed her dismay, saying, “All this cursing in politics, we never heard that before.” She added that “words are very powerful, and the past 45 presidents of this country, have not used such vile language.”

The trend has raised questions about the impact of presidential rhetoric on public decorum and political culture.
