United States clinches 11th Presidents Cup with dramatic comeback

The United States secured an 11th consecutive Presidents Cup title on Sunday after a dramatic rally to beat the International team 17‑13 at Medinah.

Jacob Bridgeman clinched the winning point by sinking a four‑foot par putt on the 18th hole, defeating Australian Min Woo Lee 1‑up.

Trailing 10.5‑7.5 before the final day’s 12 singles matches, the Americans turned the tide to improve their record in the biennial rivalry to 14‑1‑1.

U.S. captain Brandt Snedeker praised his team’s belief, noting Medinah’s history of “funny things happening” and expressing pride in their performance.

Former President Donald Trump, who was in attendance, was thanked by Snedeker, who said Trump would “get all the credit” for the energy he brought to the event.
