Trump threatens Iran at UN as approval ratings fall

US President Donald Trump addressed the United Nations on Tuesday, warning that he would “annihilate” Iran.

During his speech, the 80‑year‑old leader was confronted by CNN anchor Kaitlan Collins, whom he previously banned from the White House. Trump responded sharply, saying, “I’m surprised that CNN is here covering me. You should not be here covering me.”

The remarks came as Trump’s domestic approval ratings continue to decline and some Republican figures have begun to distance themselves from his positions.

Despite projecting a strong stance on the international stage, Trump’s ability to influence internal political dynamics appears limited.
