Spraoi agus Spórt, a Donegal charity and social enterprise, is urging the public to vote for it in the People’s Choice Award at Charities Institute Ireland’s 2026 Charity Excellence Awards.

The organisation has been shortlisted in three categories – Finance Team of the Year, Fundraising Team of the Year and Charity of the Year – alongside finalists such as Concern Worldwide, Irish Cancer Society, Barretstown and Dublin Simon Community.

Founded in 2010, Spraoi delivers childcare, disability and inclusion services, family support, youth activities, digital learning and circular‑economy projects. Its social enterprises, Saothrú Nursery & Garden Centre and Síoraí Circular Economy Hub, generate income that is reinvested into community programmes.

Helen Nolan, co‑founder and CEO, said reaching the finals in three categories is a proud moment for staff, volunteers and supporters, and asked voters across Donegal and beyond to cast their ballot before the 29 October 2026 deadline.

Votes can be submitted at https://bit.ly/4zbnAxX, with voters entered into a draw for an Amazon Echo Dot. Further information about Spraoi agus Spórt is available on its website.
