Over 1,500 motorists caught speeding in Bank Holiday road policing operation
Gardaí have recorded more than 1,500 speed‑limit offences during the first two days of the October Bank Holiday…

A manhunt has been launched after a 38‑year‑old man from Limerick, living in Dublin, was found dead following a domestic dispute on Blackhorse Place in Dublin’s north inner city in the early hours of Sunday.
The victim was discovered by emergency services at about 03:30 am and was taken to the nearby Mater Misericordiae University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
Gardaí say the incident stemmed from a row that began inside an apartment on Blackhorse Avenue and moved onto the street, where a third party stabbed the man. The suspect and another man fled the scene.
Detectives are reviewing local CCTV and home‑camera footage to identify the two men. The scene has been preserved for forensic examination by the Garda Technical Bureau, and a post‑mortem will be arranged by the Coroner and the Office of the State Pathologist.
The investigation is being coordinated from an incident room at Bridewell Garda Station under a Senior Investigating Officer. Gardaí are appealing for witnesses, particularly anyone with video footage between 02:00 am and 03:00 am, to contact Bridewell Garda Station on 01 666 8200 or the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111.
