Manchester City found guilty of most Premier League financial breaches

Manchester City have been found guilty of virtually all of the financial rule breaches they were charged with by the Premier League.

The club faced more than 100 alleged breaches in February 2023, which City denied at the time. An independent commission has now concluded that the club is guilty of almost all of those counts.

City intend to appeal the decision, while the Premier League has not yet announced any sanctions. The Athletic reported that penalties are still to be decided.

The Premier League declined to comment when approached by the Press Association, stating that the process remains ongoing.
