Three individuals were arrested after gardaí pursued a stolen car on the M50 on Sunday evening.

The suspects – two men in their 20s and a male teenager – were detained following a “managed containment operation” in the Dublin area. The arrests took place after the vehicle stopped near Clondalkin.

Shortly after 7 pm, gardaí from the DMR North, on mobile patrol as part of investigations into a series of burglaries and criminal‑damage incidents in North Dublin, observed a vehicle with multiple occupants on Naul Road near Dublin Airport. The car failed to stop and was chased by gardaí.

A coordinated response was launched, involving several local and divisional garda units from across the DMR, including the Armed Support Unit and air support, according to a garda spokesperson.

The vehicle, a VW Golf reported stolen during a recent burglary in the Santry area, has been recovered and sent for technical examination. All three suspects are being held under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984 at garda stations in North Dublin. No injuries were reported.
