Donegal stone firm McMonagle Stone attends Marmomac fair in Verona

McMonagle Stone, a Mountcharles‑based natural stone supplier, has travelled to Verona to attend the 60th Marmomac trade fair.

The exhibition, which began on Tuesday, draws over 50,000 visitors and showcases the entire natural stone supply chain, from quarrying and processing to machinery, design and architecture. Michael McMonagle and Daniel McMonagle have been present at the week‑long symposium.

Representing a company that sources stone from Italy, India, Brazil, Portugal, Norway and its own Donegal quarries, the trip offers the chance to meet existing suppliers and identify emerging customer demands.

McMonagle Stone, founded by Dan McMonagle in 1974, now operates four quarries in Donegal, employs more than 70 staff across Donegal, Dublin and Lisburn, and has recently entered the UK market through Rock Unique in Sevenoaks, Kent. The firm is also a certified member of the Ethical Stone Register.
