Nemo Rangers defeated St Finbarr’s 1‑15 to 1‑10 to win the Cork Senior Football Championship, ending a four‑year title drought.

The southside side surged ahead early, leading 7‑0 after 16 minutes and never allowing the Barrs to level the score. A goal from full‑back‑turned‑midfielder Bríain Murphy on 44 minutes extended the lead to eight points.

St Finbarr’s mounted a late second‑half rally, narrowing the gap to 1‑15 to 2‑11, but Nemo held firm. Points from Ross Corkery and two frees by Mark Cronin in injury time sealed the victory.

Key moments included a missed free by Enda Dennehy, a crucial turnover that allowed Ronan Dalton to score, and a late goal by Luke Horgan after a lofted ball from Stephen Cronin.

The win returns Nemo Rangers to the top of Cork football after a four‑year famine, with manager Andy Scannell set to celebrate his 24th winter in the role.
