An uninsured learner driver was arrested in Letterkenny after testing positive for cocaine.
Officers from the Letterkenny Roads Policing Unit stopped an unaccompanied motorist who was driving without insurance. The Gardaí conducted a drug test, which returned a positive result for cocaine.
Following the positive test, the driver was taken into custody and the vehicle was seized by the Gardai.
A spokesperson for the police force warned, “Never risk lives by making poor decisions when it comes to road safety.”
