Trump to meet Xi Jinping again in China and Florida after state visit

President Donald Trump confirmed that he will hold further meetings with Chinese President Xi Jinping in China and later in Florida, following Xi’s departure from Washington.

The announcement came as Xi Jinping and his wife concluded the final day of a state visit that marked the first official trip to the United States by a Chinese leader since the Obama administration.

During the visit, the two leaders discussed the ongoing war in Iran, according to statements from the White House. The itinerary for the last day included a tea reception at the White House, a tour of the National Archives to view the nation’s founding documents, and a state dinner.

Earlier in the trip, Xi received a red‑carpet welcome on the tarmac on Wednesday, followed by a full day of talks on Thursday before the final events.

The planned future meetings underscore the continuation of diplomatic engagement between the United States and China despite recent tensions.
