President Donald Trump held rallies in Dubuque, Iowa and Salina, Kansas as the final days of the US midterm campaign unfolded.

In Dubuque on Sunday, Trump spoke for two hours, urging voters that “America first” Republicans would win on Election Day on Tuesday. He then travelled to Kansas for a further rally.

The events come as Republicans in both states face strong Democratic challenges that could threaten GOP majorities in the Senate and the House. Trump highlighted his past victories in the two states and framed the elections as a referendum on his administration.

In Michigan, the Democratic Senate race has become contentious after congresswoman Haley Stevens endorsed Republican Mike Rogers, claiming she was excluded from the Democratic campaign. Senate leaders Chuck Schumer and Kirsten Gillibrand said the party remains united behind incumbent Abdul El‑Sayed, while Bernie Sanders dismissed concerns about division.

Trump’s rallies aim to energise supporters such as Dubuque resident Jon Lutz, a 60‑year‑old civil engineer attending his first rally, and Wendy Kuenzler, 44, from Burlington, who said she will back Senate nominee Ashley Hinson.
