Uisce Éireann will carry out essential maintenance on the water network in north‑west Donegal, causing an overnight supply disruption for residents of Derryconnor, Magheraroarty, Gortahork and surrounding townlands.
The works are set to begin at 10 p.m. on Monday 2 November and are expected to finish by 8 a.m. on Tuesday 3 November. Uisce Éireann has warned customers that even after the estimated restoration time, water may not flow fully for an additional three to four hours.
Independent councillor Michael McClafferty confirmed that leaks have been identified in the area and that the repair programme is necessary to restore normal service. He thanked the crews involved for their efforts and asked residents to be patient while the works are completed.
Households are advised to make any essential water use arrangements before the outage and to follow any further updates from Uisce Éireann.
