Rapper Nicki Minaj appeared onstage with US President Donald Trump at a rally in Port Huron, Michigan, as the Republican campaign heads into the final week before the 3 November mid‑term elections.

During the event Minaj praised Trump, saying he had “changed the energy of the country” and that “he’s given us a future to look forward to.” Trump responded by complimenting her appearance, calling her “beautiful” and “smart” as she left the stage.

The rally was part of Trump’s effort to support Republican Senate candidate Mike Rogers, who is locked in a close contest with Democratic challenger Abdul El‑Sayed. In his speech Trump focused on El‑Sayed’s Muslim faith, alleging the candidate would “invite jihadists” into the United States if elected.

El‑Sayed has denounced the remarks as Islamophobic, arguing that Trump is using his name and faith to distract voters from economic pressures such as fuel prices, grocery costs and healthcare expenses.

Minaj, wearing a gold‑coloured Gucci suit, led the crowd in chanting Trump’s name and the names of other Republican candidates. She arrived on Air Force One and filmed a brief video on the plane that was later posted to X.
