Met Éireann has issued a status‑yellow wind warning for County Donegal that will take effect at 5 pm on Monday and run until midnight.
The warning follows the existing alerts for Storm Boelo, which remain in place until 3 pm on Sunday. The national forecaster expects very strong, gusty south‑to‑southwest winds, large coastal waves, and the possibility of fallen trees and branches.
Met Éireann cautions that debris and loose objects may be displaced, creating difficult driving and cycling conditions for road users. Residents are advised to take care on the roads.
The alert comes as thousands of homes across Donegal are still without electricity. Power outages persist into the afternoon, with many customers not expecting a fix until later in the evening.
Further information can be followed on the Storm Boelo live‑updates page.
