Dromin/Athlacca (DA) will return to senior hurling next season after a 2‑18 (24) to 3‑11 (20) victory over neighbours Bruff in the Premier Intermediate final at the Gaelic Grounds.

The side, managed by James Kennedy, led by ten points at the interval (2‑11 to 0‑7) and were buoyed by the end of Storm Boelo. Man of the match David Breen opened the scoring with a goal, followed quickly by Jack Fitzgibbon, while David Reidy added a steady stream of points.

Bruff fought back in the latter stages, with goals from Paul Browne and Seán Finn, but DA held on to claim the title. The club, which is approaching its Diamond Anniversary (75 years), will be led next season by Breen and Shane Scully.

In other county finals, Knockaderry, managed by Brendan Hayes, defeated Bruree 1‑16 to 0‑17 in the Intermediate final, with midfielder Mike Molloy starring. Doon won the Premier Junior A final 3‑12 to 0‑10 over Caherline, highlighted by Darragh Stapleton’s seven points.

Monagea captured the Junior A title at Newcastle West, beating Killeedy 2‑14 to 1‑6, while Patrickswell, Cappamore, Garryspillane and Effin collected Premier Junior B, Junior B, Premier Junior C and Junior C honours respectively.
