Ger Manley has announced his resignation as manager of the Cork senior camogie team.
Manley thanked the Executive of Cork Camogie for the opportunity and for the support he received during his tenure. He noted that he first served as a selector under Mathew Twomey before taking on the managerial role in 2024.
In a statement the board said the timing was right for a “fresh voice” as Cork looks ahead to 2027 to retain its All‑Ireland title. Manley also expressed gratitude to his fellow selectors, the management team and the players for their dedication and hard work.
Cork Camogie Chairperson Pádraig Treacy said he was disappointed by the decision but fully respects it, praising Manley’s “remarkable job” and achievements. Under his leadership Cork secured two All‑Ireland titles, a National League title – the county’s first in 13 years – and a Munster championship.
Manley also guided Ireland to back‑to‑back Shinnty/Camogie series victories and, after a player exodus in 2026, left the squad in a strong position for the future.
