Panda Ireland has completed the acquisition of DM Waste, a waste management and recycling company based in Labbadish, Manorcunningham, County Donegal.
DM Waste, founded in 2008 and run by owner John Caulderbanks, has operated for 18 years before being bought by Panda Ireland, one of the country’s largest waste firms.
Panda Ireland employs over 3,000 staff, serves more than 300,000 homes and businesses nationwide, and reported revenue of €369 million in 2024, according to Irish Revenue figures. KPMG has described the group as a market leader in Ireland.
Customers of DM Waste were notified of the deal by a letter earlier this month, which stated that services would continue without disruption and that direct debits would remain unchanged, although future statements will show “Panda Recycling” instead of DM Waste.
This follows previous consolidations in the sector, with Ferry’s Refuse previously taken over by WERS Waste in 2017 and WERS Waste itself acquired by Beauparc, the parent company of Panda Ireland, in 2019.
