A public figure in Kerry is being investigated after his wife alleged he raped her and forced her to take part in cocaine‑fuelled sex parties.

The man, described as well known and widely respected in Kerry and a regular on national media, cannot be named for legal reasons. Kerry’s Eye, which first reported the story, said he has not been arrested and has agreed to co‑operate with Gardaí.

According to the newspaper, the wife made the allegations to Gardaí in recent weeks, claiming her husband raped her, hosted orgies, supplied cocaine to attendees and coerced her into non‑consensual sexual acts.

Garda headquarters confirmed that Gardaí are investigating a report of an alleged incident in the Killarney area of Co Kerry. The statement added that the specialist Garda Protective Services Unit is also involved, but no further information can be released while the investigation is ongoing.
