Acclaimed South Korean pianist Yeol Eum Son will appear at University Concert Hall in Limerick on Friday 20 November as part of a three‑date Irish tour with the Irish Chamber Orchestra (ICO).

The concert, titled “Mozart Illuminated”, begins at 7.30 pm and tickets are available via the ICO website.

Son will perform as both soloist and director, presenting Mozart’s Piano Concerto No 24 in C minor alongside the “Elvira Madigan” concerto, and opening the programme with the Divertimento in D major, directed by ICO guest leader Hed Yaron Meyerson.

Her recent engagements include a sold‑out BBC Proms performance of Gershwin’s Piano Concerto with the BBC Symphony Orchestra at the Royal Albert Hall in August, and a celebrated rendition of Mozart’s Piano Concerto No 21 at the 2011 International Tchaikovsky Competition, which has attracted 32 million online views.

The tour also includes performances at Whyte Recital Hall, RIAM, Dublin on Thursday 19 November and at St Michael’s Church, Blackrock, Cork on Saturday 21 November, in association with the Cork Orchestral Society.
