A US judge has dismissed former President Donald Trump’s lawsuit against the Wall Street Journal with prejudice, ending his legal challenge over the newspaper’s reporting on an alleged birthday letter to Jeffrey Epstein.
The ruling, issued on Saturday, means the case cannot be amended or re‑filed. It follows an earlier dismissal in April that had allowed Trump to revise his complaint, but the latest decision closes the matter permanently.
The lawsuit centred on the Wall Street Journal’s coverage of a purported birthday letter that Trump allegedly sent to Epstein, a convicted sex offender. The court’s decision marks the final resolution of the claim.
