Funding of up to €30,000 is being offered for digital connectivity projects in Donegal under the 2023‑2027 LEADER Programme.

The scheme, managed by Donegal Local Development CLG (DLDC) in partnership with the Donegal Local Community Development Committee (LCDC), is inviting Expressions of Interest (EOIs) for community‑led initiatives that improve digital connectivity and inclusion in rural areas.

Under the Optimising Digital Connectivity sub‑theme, small‑scale capital projects can receive up to €10,000, covering up to 75% of total costs. Separate funding of up to €30,000 is available for feasibility studies, covering up to 90% of project costs.

EOIs must be submitted by 5 pm on Wednesday, 11 November. Applicants must be located within the DLDC catchment area, excluding Inishowen, the Gaeltacht and the Islands.

DLDC Rural Development Manager Sinead McLaughlin said the funding will help remote communities stay connected to opportunities, services and each other, and will complement the National Broadband Plan’s larger infrastructure works.

Interested parties are encouraged to discuss their ideas with a LEADER team member before applying. Forms and further information can be requested by emailing rdpleader@dldc.org.
