Developer Tony Enright has submitted a planning application to Limerick City and County Council to convert the former Student Campus language school on Patrick Street into a 35‑bedroom boutique hotel.
The proposal outlines a four‑storey, 35‑room hotel inspired by the Dean hotel brand, with ensuite tourist accommodation, a ground‑floor reception, external signage and ancillary facilities such as storage, cleaners’ closets and bins.
The building sits above the popular Mexican restaurant Boojum and would offer “warm” and “stylish” rooms aimed at couples, business travellers, wedding parties, event guests and sporting or concert attendees. A hotel bar would be available for locals throughout the week.
If approved, the hotel would be the first Dean‑inspired property in Limerick, providing short‑stay accommodation to boost visitor numbers. The council is due to decide on the application on Wednesday, 18 November.
