Paddy McDonnell to perform new show “Gout’s Out” in Limerick

Belfast comedian Paddy McDonnell will bring his new stand‑up show, Gout’s Out, to Dolan’s in Limerick on Thursday 22 October as part of a nationwide autumn tour.

McDonnell, who began his comedy career in 2011, has previously supported established acts such as Des Bishop and Ardal O’Hanlon and has built a strong following across Ireland and the UK.

The new material sees him reflect on ageing, coping with gout and the challenges of trying to act like a younger man, drawing on experiences from his former work as a taxi driver, married life and fatherhood.

The Limerick date is one stop in a series of shows scheduled around the country this autumn, giving audiences outside Belfast a chance to see the material that has earned him a reputation at home.

McDonnell has released five solo shows to date; his 2015 production Dagger was a standout of that year’s Belfast Belly Laughs Festival, selling out its run and receiving five‑star reviews. He has also performed at major Belfast venues including the Limelight, Ulster Hall, the Waterfront Hall and the SSE Arena.
