More than 800 homes and businesses in Newcastle West can now pre‑order or order high‑speed fibre broadband, National Broadband Ireland (NBI) announced on behalf of the government.

The rollout also covers premises in the surrounding townlands of Glensharrold, Fleanmore, Loughill and Kilmoylan, extending the reach of reliable broadband across the area.

With the completion of works near Newcastle West, a total of 21,937 premises across County Limerick are now able to connect, and 7,229 connections have already been made.

Earlier phases of the project have finished in other rural parts of the county, including Abbeyfeale and Newport, bringing faster internet to a wider community.

NBI urges all Limerick residents to visit nbi.ie and enter their Eircode to confirm eligibility and arrange connection.
