Limerick train driver wins national Driver Excellence Award

Limerick-based train driver Jacqueline McMahon has been awarded the Driver Excellence Award at Iarnród Éireann’s annual Customer Experience Excellence Awards.

The awards celebrate staff who deliver the highest level of customer experience to rail passengers. Jacqueline was praised for “combining empathy with practical help, stepping in when passengers need support most”, a description drawn from nominations submitted by her colleagues.

Other Limerick nominees included Customer Service Officer Andressa Costa, who was a finalist in the Onboard Staff category, and Kevin Maloney, Station Controller at Colbert Station, who was a finalist in the Station Staff category.
