Katie‑George Dunlevy returned to the podium at the UCI Paracycling World Track Championships, securing a bronze medal in the women’s B (WB) pursuit alongside pilot Alice Sharpe.

The Irish duo finished third, two seconds behind New Zealand and Britain, edging out the German team to claim the medal.

Both athletes are seasoned competitors – Dunlevy is a former World Track Champion and Paralympian, while Sharpe has represented Ireland at the Olympics – but this was their first competition together on the track.

In the WB 1 km time trial, Dunlevy and Sharpe placed fifth. Another Irish pair, Jospehine Rizos and Robyn Beggs, finished fourth in the same event after winning silver in the WB sprint.

Drumkeen’s Mitchell McLaughlin piloted Ciaran O’Toole in the men’s B (MB) pursuit, setting a new national record and finishing seventh; the pair also recorded 23rd place in the MB 1 km time trial.
