New York Jets head coach Aaron Glenn said his priority is improving the team, not worrying about his job security, as the franchise sits at 2‑6 this season.

Speaking on Monday, Glenn emphasized that his weekly focus is “improving this team,” adding that the business of the NFL is “bottom‑line” and that the Jets still have nine games left to turn the season around.

The Jets have lost three straight games, including a 28‑25 defeat to a winless Miami side and a 38‑33 loss at home to the Las Vegas Raiders after surrendering a fourth‑quarter lead. Owner Woody Johnson has not addressed the media since last year, and the recent home crowd was dominated by Raiders fans.

Since taking over, Glenn’s record stands at 5‑20, and he knows victories are needed to secure a third season. Defensive lineman Jowon Briggs voiced confidence in Glenn’s leadership, while the offense showed flashes, with Braelon Allen posting a career‑high 147 rushing yards and Adonai Mitchell recording 142 receiving yards and a touchdown.

However, the Jets struggled in the red zone, converting only two of six opportunities, and special teams gave up the league’s first kickoff return for a touchdown of the year.
