Limerick City and County Council have announced a programme of Halloween events running until 1 November, supported by Fáilte Ireland’s Ireland, Home of Halloween initiative.
The weekend kicks off on Thursday 29 October with “Twilight Thursdays”, adding extra entertainment, culture and late‑night openings across the city.
Among the highlights is the Halloween City Centre Fancy Dress 5 km, a costumed run and walk that will wind through illuminated streets before finishing at King John’s Castle.
At the Limerick Milk Market, Twilight Thursdays will host an Animal Roadshow featuring face‑painting and appearances by spooky characters, while the Wickham Witching Hour Workshop offers devilish crafts for families.
Various venues will provide costumes, storytelling and early scares as the city counts down to Halloween night. Full details, including times, bookings and additional activities, are available on Limerick.ie/Halloween, with event listings subject to change.
