Tech firms launch Smarter Energy Challenge for Dublin businesses

EVAD Technology Group and robotics company Rasbot are backing Techies Go Green’s Smarter Energy Challenge, urging Dublin businesses to adopt simple steps for greater energy efficiency.

The three organisations met at the Poolbeg chimneys in Dublin to promote the initiative, which was developed by Techies Go Green to help firms understand their energy use and identify practical ways to cut costs and emissions.

Michael O’Hara, co‑founder of Techies Go Green, said rising energy prices and concerns about energy security are putting pressure on Irish businesses and that the challenge will help owners and energy decision‑makers pinpoint where energy is being used and what investments can improve efficiency.

David Mahon, CEO of EVAD Technology Group, added that many companies know they want to be more sustainable but struggle to know where to start, and that the challenge offers immediate, actionable steps supported by technology.

EVAD, a provider of digital transformation solutions, and its robotics venture Rasbot aim to demonstrate how emerging technologies can automate processes, reduce waste and enhance resource use.
