A small Learjet 60 bound for the Bahamas from Austin crashed and exploded on a multi‑lane highway in Florida on Sunday, killing all nine people on board.
The victims included Texas tech entrepreneur Adam Robinson, his wife Helen Sharp and their two children, Emma, 4, and Charlie, 2. Robinson was the founder and CEO of RB2B and Retention.com and had previously worked for Lehman Brothers and Barclays.
Helen Sharp was described as an artist, and her father, Dudley Sharp, said the loss of his daughter, son‑in‑law and grandchildren was “quite a blow”.
Also on board were Reed, Fehr and Cetina, who were travelling with the Robinson family. The joint family statement described Reed and Fehr as “full of joy and adventure” and noted that Cetina “cared for Emma and Charlie with tenderness and devotion”.
The pilot was identified as 55‑year‑old Jeff Gregory, a captain who had worked for the private charter firm East Coast Jets. The 20‑year‑old copilot was Nathalia Filgueiras, who earned her pilot’s licence at 17; her mother, Camila Corteleti, confirmed her daughter’s death.
The U.S. National Transportation Safety Board is investigating whether ice, turbulence or human error contributed to the crash.
