The Museum of Style Icons at Newbridge Silverware will host “A Thriller Of An Exhibition – Michael Jackson A Fashion Legacy” from Friday 30 October to Sunday 8 November 2026.

The ten‑day show features the illuminated 1987–1989 Bad World Tour Thriller jacket, the rhinestone‑studded white glove worn at the 1983 Motown 25 performance, and the black leather Florsheim loafers used during rehearsals for the same show.

Presented in association with Julien’s Auctions, the exhibition is the only European display of these items before they travel to a major international show in Bahrain and an auction at The Rosewood Abu Dhabi on 7 December.

The glove carries a pre‑auction estimate of $600,000‑$800,000, having sold for $430,000 in 2009, while the loafers are expected to fetch $60,000‑$80,000. The illuminated jacket, created by costume designers Michael Bush and Dennis Tompkins, showcases the evolution of the original red and black Thriller costume.

Irish fans will have a rare opportunity to view these iconic pieces of pop‑culture history together for the first time in Ireland.
