Mayo have secured six PwC football All‑Stars, the highest number for the county in nine years.

The 15‑player team includes representatives from eight counties – the most diverse lineup since 2010. Mayo’s 18‑year‑old Kobe McDonald became the youngest ever All‑Star, breaking the record previously held by Derry’s Dermot McNicholl from 1984.

Other county selections

Kerry, the runners‑up and Munster champions, have three players honoured. Westmeath earned its first All‑Star since 2008 following a Leinster triumph, while Dublin’s Niall Scully is the sole award‑winner from the capital.

Goalkeeper Shane Murphy of Dr Crokes claimed the All‑Star spot after a standout season, conceding only five championship goals. He succeeded the injured Shane Ryan in 2026 and helped his club win the Kerry SFC championship.

Other notable inclusions are Jason Foley, who repeats his award, and David Clifford, a contender for a fourth Footballer of the Year. Young Footballer of the Year nominees Kobe McDonald, Darragh Beirne and Ryan O’Donoghue also feature in the team.

The All‑Star banquet will be held at the RDS on Friday and broadcast live on RTÉ One from 7.30 pm.
