TG4 documentary series Taobh Thiar den Roth has been shortlisted for the Best Series of the Year category at this year’s Gradaim Chumarsáide an Oireachtais awards.
The series, produced in the Donegal Gaeltacht by Gaoth Dobhair‑based LIGID Léiriúcháin, follows the 2025 Donegal International Rally, giving behind‑the‑scenes access to drivers, organisers and officials.
It profiles local newcomers Jordan Greene McGee, PJ Mór and PJ Óg McDermott, veteran Kieran Ó Rabhartaigh’s 31st rally, and Derry driver Callum Devine’s bid for a third consecutive Donegal win. The programme also features Clerk of the Course Eamonn McGee and organiser Suzanne McCafferty.
Founder Sonia Nic Giolla Easbuig said the nomination recognises the team’s effort to produce a programme entirely within the Gaeltacht, from filming to post‑production, with most crew members based in Donegal.
The winners will be announced in Killarney on Wednesday 28 October. Taobh Thiar den Roth remains available on the TG4 Player.
