Dylan Browne McMonagle secured a major victory in the Group 1 William Hill Futurity Trophy Stakes at Doncaster, riding the 11/1 outsider Giant Sequoia.
The Letterkenny rider and his mount broke away from the field to win comfortably, earning a £155,000 first‑place prize for trainer JP O’Brien.
The race offered a total prize fund of £270,000, marking a significant achievement for the 2025 Irish Champion Jockey.
This triumph is McMonagle’s second win since returning from an injury that kept him off the track for almost two months.
