Conwal secured a 4-0 victory over Three Rivers in the Donegal Badminton League on Monday evening in Letterkenny.
The Cathedral Town club continued their unbeaten start to the season, adding three points to reach a total of 10 from their opening three fixtures after winning all four matches.
In the opening game, Graham Love and Ryan McClintock edged out Andy Knox and Nigel Patterson in a closely fought contest to give Conwal the first point.
Chris O’Malley and Tony McCarry then defeated Alex Knox and Matthew Patterson in straight games, putting Conwal 2‑0 up.
Love and O’Malley beat the Knox father‑and‑son pair 21‑14, 21‑16, clinching the overall win with one match still to play.
Three Rivers avoided a whitewash in the final match when Nigel and Matthew Patterson took the first game 21‑17 against McClintock and McCarry, but Conwal responded 21‑9 and held on to win the decider, completing the clean sweep.
Conwal manager John Love praised the result but noted the match had been closer than the score suggested, while Three Rivers spokesman Nigel Patterson complimented Conwal’s balanced team and hospitality.
