The annual Raphoe Colour Run and Community Festival will take place on Saturday, 3 October, from 11 am to 5 pm.

Hosted in the marquee at Raphoe Livestock Mart, the day’s main Colour Run begins at 1 pm, following a pre‑run preparation zone that opens at 11:30 am where families can enjoy face paint, temporary tattoos and sparkling face gems.

Activities and entertainment

From 11 am families can collect scavenger‑hunt sheets at the Raphoe Family Resource Centre tent and later compete for prizes at 5 pm. The main tent will showcase local community groups, sports clubs, a Crazy Candy Shack funfair, and a sensory‑friendly space with crafts and tabletop games.

Live entertainment includes pop‑up performances by local artists, Reel Deele, Highland dancers, traditional musicians and flash mobs. At 2 pm the newly formed “One Town, One Voice” choir will debut a song written for the event, and at 3.30 pm the Stonewall band will perform.

The festival is funded by the Social Inclusion and Community Activation Programme, the Community Connectors Fund, Donegal Local Development Company and Raphoe Ulster Scots, with support from local schools, businesses and volunteers, including Transition Year students from Deele College and Royal & Prior Comprehensive School.
