US actor Chad Lowe and his wife, producer Kim Painter, have said they are “deeply heartbroken” after the death of their 13‑year‑old daughter Fiona.
In a statement to Page Six and People, the family described Fiona as “a loving young girl who was smart, creative and loved to dance,” adding that she was adored by her sisters and “the light of our lives.”
The statement asked for prayers and privacy and included a note urging anyone struggling with mental health to contact the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline by calling or texting 988.
Chad Lowe, brother of actor Rob Lowe, won an Emmy in 1993 for the TV series Life Goes On and has appeared in programmes such as Pretty Little Liars and Supergirl. The couple also have two other daughters, Mabel, 17, and Nixie, 10.
Information about mental‑health support services in the UK is available on the BBC Action Line website.
