Two people killed in workplace accident in Banagher, Co Offaly
A man in his 50s and a woman in her 20s were killed in a workplace accident at an industrial premises in Banagher, Co Offaly, on Monday at approximately 11.40 am.
Gardaí and emergency services attended the scene and the two victims were pronounced dead at the site. Autopsies are scheduled to take place at Tullamore General Hospital, and the coroner has been notified.
The Health and Safety Authority (HSA) has been informed of the fatal incident and has launched an investigation. A HSA spokesperson said no further information is available at this time.
