9 Janeville on Blackrock Road, Cork, is on the market for €1.45 million and features its own putting green…

Swaay Technologies, an industrial‑technology start‑up based in Mullingar, Co Westmeath, has raised €2 million in an equity funding round.
The round was led by Dublin‑based investment firm BVP, with participation from members of the BVP Investor Club. The capital will be used to move the company’s direct‑to‑shape (DTS) printing platform into commercial production and to create further roles in Mullingar.
Swaay’s platform enables beverage co‑packers and producers to print artwork directly onto aluminium cans, eliminating the need for plastic labels and shrink sleeves. The company says this approach can simplify recycling, reduce lead times and help brands navigate varied labelling regulations and deposit‑return schemes.
Founded in 2023, Swaay operates a production and technical hub in Trois‑Rivières, Quebec, and combines short‑run digital can production with contract fillers, distributors and ecosystem partners across North America. Its founders – CEO Ciarán Gorman, COO Sébastien Baril, CCO Mark O’Donnell and CTO Jean‑François Gaudreault – bring decades of experience in technology, beverage and print sectors.
According to the company, around 1 billion cans per year have already shifted to non‑plastic labelling, and it expects “billions more” to follow as DTS technology scales.
