Jacqueline Friel has applied for “retention” planning permission to keep an existing centre in Termon operating as emergency accommodation for International Protection applicants.
The proposal seeks a temporary change of use from a guesthouse‑type facility to accommodation for persons seeking international protection for a period of three years.
The property in question is a two‑storey building with nine bedrooms, covering 409 square metres (approximately 4,400 sq ft).
County council planners are scheduled to decide on the application by the end of December.
