Planning application submitted for major revamp of McCafferty’s Bar in Dungloe

A planning application has been lodged to substantially redevelop McCafferty’s Bar on Dungloe’s main street.

The proposal, submitted by Michael Boyle of Atlantic Drive Limited, seeks permission to demolish the existing bar areas, toilet facilities, kitchen and storerooms.

In their place, the development would include new bar spaces, modern toilet facilities, a commercial kitchen, a function room, ancillary storerooms and a beer garden, together with associated works at the rear of the premises.

County council planners are expected to reach a decision on the application by mid‑December.
