The New England Patriots saw their three‑game win streak snapped after a 30‑24 defeat to the Chicago Bears on Thursday night at Soldier Field.

Coach Mike Vrabel said he was disappointed with the result but remained confident in his squad’s resolve, noting the team fought well despite injuries that have left the Patriots without two starting offensive linemen.

With left guard Alijah Vera‑Tucker (hamstring) and right guard Mike Onwenu (ankle) on injured reserve, the Patriots started recent additions Matt Pryor and Walter Rouse on the line. Quarterback Drake Maye was sacked twice but completed 24 of 31 passes for 321 yards, two touchdowns and a rushing score. He accepted responsibility for a second‑quarter interception in the end zone that led to a Bears touchdown.

New England’s rushing attack fell to 70 yards, well below its season average of 130.7 yards per game, making the offense more predictable in the second half. Running back Rhamondre Stevenson recorded five catches for 93 yards and a 48‑yard touchdown reception.

Defensive setbacks included safety Kevin Byard leaving the field with a trainer check and defensive tackle Christian Barmore exiting late with an undisclosed ailment. The Patriots now have extra time to rest before travelling to Miami for their next game on 1 November.
