Voters in Minnesota left “I Voted” stickers on memorials for Alex Pretti and Renee Nicole Good as part of a broader effort to monitor polling stations during the US mid‑term elections.

Pretti, a 37‑year‑old intensive‑care nurse at the Veterans Affairs medical centre in Minneapolis, and Good, a writer and mother of three, were killed by federal immigration officials during a large‑scale enforcement operation in January.

Grassroots organisers in the area deployed volunteers described as “democracy guardians” to visit polling sites and watch for any disturbances or attempts at federal interference.

The placement of the stickers on the memorials was intended to send a message against deportations and to underscore the importance of civic participation.

These actions form part of live‑tracked updates on the US mid‑term elections, with results being followed across all 50 states.
