Woman sentenced to 2 years 9 months for laundrette robbery
A 47‑year‑old woman, Ennis Dunne, was sentenced by Dublin Circuit Criminal Court to two years and nine months…

A man in his 40s has appeared before Letterkenny District Court charged with seriously assaulting a woman.
The unnamed defendant was granted bail by Judge Emile Daly, who imposed strict conditions, including a total ban on any contact with the alleged victim – “no wave across the street, eye contact – nothing,” the judge said.
The charge is under section 3 of the Non‑Fatal Offences Against the Person Act 1997, relating to assault causing harm. Garda Sergeant Jim Collins provided the court with a schedule detailing the arrest, charge and caution.
Bail conditions require the man to give An Garda Síochána an address of residence within 48 hours, sign in at a Garda station weekly, and refrain from contacting the injured party or any witnesses. He must also remain alcohol‑ and drug‑free, avoid a specified address, obtain a psychiatric assessment referral and take any prescribed medication.
Judge Daly confirmed the defendant understood the conditions before releasing him on bail.
