Juritas, an Irish‑founded contract‑intelligence start‑up based in Stockholm, has raised €1.4 million in a pre‑seed funding round.
The round was led by Passion Capital with participation from Blackwood, Araya Ventures, Baseline, Angel Invest and the ByFounders Angel Collective.
Founded this year by Michelle Cotter – formerly of legal‑AI firm Legora, fintech group Revolut and music‑licensing company Epidemic Sound – Juritas offers an AI‑driven platform that helps finance, procurement and legal teams monitor contract commitments and identify payments that are due.
The platform connects to online repositories such as SharePoint and Google Drive, scans contracts in full and records commitments, dates, fees and obligations, citing the exact clause for each item. Users can ask simple questions, for example whether a supplier’s volume discount has been triggered, and receive answers that reference the relevant clause and required action.
Juritas says encryption is built into the service and all data is stored in the EU, with contracts never used to train AI models. The company plans to use the new funding to expand its engineering team in Stockholm, accelerate product development and enhance security and infrastructure for large customers.
